Can I make these ahead of time?
Yes! Assemble them in advance and store them in the fridge, uncooked. Brush with butter and sprinkle cinnamon sugar just before baking.
Can I use fresh apples instead of Crunch Pak® Apple Slices?
Absolutely — peel and dice about 2–3 apples. But Crunch Pak® saves a lot of time and makes this recipe a breeze.
Do I need to cook the filling first?
Nope! The apple mixture softens perfectly during baking or air frying.
Can I deep fry these instead?
Totally. Heat oil to 350°F and fry for about 2 minutes per side until golden. Just be careful — the caramel gets hot fast!
Ingredients Needed to Make Caramel Apple Egg Rolls
- 1 bag Crunch Pak® Peeled Apple Slices
- 2 tbsp Ground Cinnamon
- ¾ cup Sweetener – Any dry granulated sweetener works — monk fruit, coconut sugar, or even classic brown sugar.
- 8 Egg Roll Wrappers
- 8 Caramels, cut in half – Use caramel chips or a drizzle of store-bought caramel sauce inside.
- ½ tbsp Butter, melted – Swap with coconut oil for dairy-free.
- 1 tbsp Sweetener (for topping)
- ½ tsp Cinnamon (for topping)
- Small bowl of water (to seal wrappers)
How to Make Caramel Apple Egg Rolls
Prep the Apple Filling: Dice your Crunch Pak® apple slices into small bite-sized pieces.
In a saucepan, toss apples with 2 tbsp cinnamon and ¾ cup sweetener. Stir until apples are fully coated, allow the apples to soften over medium heat for 5-7 minutes, sauce will begin to bubble. Remove and allow to cool slightly.
Assemble the Egg Rolls:
- Lay an egg roll wrapper flat on a clean surface.
- Scoop two spoonfuls of the cinnamon apple mixture onto the center.
- Add one caramel half on each end of the apple pile (2 halves per roll).
- Dip your finger or pastry brush in water and run it along the edges of the wrapper.
- Fold in the sides, then roll it up tightly like a burrito. Seal with a little more water.
Crisp ’em Up: Preheat the air fryer or oven to 375°F.
Cook:
- Air Fryer: Place rolls in a single layer and air fry for 6–8 minutes, until golden and crispy.
- Oven: Bake for 12–15 minutes, flipping halfway through.
Season:
- Brush each egg roll lightly with melted butter.
- In a small bowl, mix 1 tbsp sweetener and ½ tsp cinnamon.
- Sprinkle the cinnamon-sweetener mix over the rolls.
Cool & Enjoy! Let them cool just slightly (the caramel gets hot!). Then dig in and enjoy that gooey, sweet crunch.
Storage & Reheating:
To Store:
Let egg rolls cool completely. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3–4 days.
To Reheat:
- Air Fryer: 350°F for 2–3 minutes
- Oven: 375°F for 5–7 minutes
- Avoid microwaving — it makes the wrapper soggy.
To Freeze:
Wrap individually in parchment and place in a freezer bag. Freeze for up to 2 months. Bake from frozen at 375°F for 15–18 minutes.
