Dried Cherry and Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients
- 2 cups sifted flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup shortening or substitute with butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup white sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 ยฝ cups oats
- 1 cup coconut
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- ยฝ cup walnuts
- 1 cup Sunrise Fresh Dried Cherries diced
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350โฐ F
- Combine flour, baking powder/soda and salt in a small bowl
- In a separate larger bowl, combine shortening (or butter) and sugar, add eggs and vanilla, mix well until creamy
- Gradually add the flour mixture
- Stir in chocolate chips, oats, coconut, walnuts, and dried cherries
- Mix well and drop dough by rounded tablespoon onto a greased baking sheet
- Bake 10-12 minutes or until golden brown
