Tart, sliced, green apple nachos are drizzled with warm almond butter and topped with chocolate chips, shredded coconut, slivered almonds, and a dash of warm cinnamon. Dip the apples into a green yogurt fruit dip for a creamy touch to round out each bite. And itโ€™s ready in 5 minutes or less โ€” no cooking required!

At The Produce Moms, our goal is to help you show your kids how delicious fruits and veggies can be. And we want it to be as simple as possible for you to prepare.

If youโ€™ve had our Tart Apple Berry Fruit Smoothie, youโ€™ll love these green apple nachos too!

The apples are pre-sliced for less prep work and weโ€™ve added a green yogurt dip, because nachos always need a dip.

Green apples and fruit dip is sponsored by Crunch Pak

Whether youโ€™re looking for an easy St. Patrickโ€™s Day appetizer or trying to introduce green foods to your kids, this is the recipe for you.

Itโ€™s loaded with familiar toppings while introducing the color green on a plate for the picky eaters in your house.

Just assemble and serve โ€” itโ€™s that easy!

Ingredients

Green apple slices, shredded coconut, slivered almonds, chocolate chips, almond butter, cinnamon, Greek yogurt, lime jello

These 8-ingredient green apple nachos use common ingredients that you can find at any local grocery store. Letโ€™s make sure you have everything you need before you get started.

Apples

You canโ€™t have apple nachos without the apples, right? Weโ€™re all about serving your kids fresh fruits with as little work for you as possible. Thatโ€™s why we use a bag of Crunch Pak Tart Apple Slices. Theyโ€™re already sliced so all you do is arrange them on the plate for zero apple prep and tons of juicy, tart flavor.

Toppings

Our kids love the warm drizzle of nutty, melted almond butter, rich chocolate chips, tropical shredded coconut, slivered almonds, and a sprinkle of warm cinnamon. Each bite is the perfect blend of sweet, crisp, and juicy that our family loves to snack on.

Fruit Dip

The green fruit dip adds a flare of fun to this easy after school snack. We used sugar-free lime jello mix to turn traditional Greek yogurt into a soft green color. We like the sugar-free mix to avoid extra added sugar. Youโ€™ll love this easy, fun twist on your yogurt fruit dip.

How to Make Green Apple Nachos

Other than heating up the almond butter, these nacho apples are an assemble-and-serve type of recipe thatโ€™s ready in just 5 minutes.

Apple slices in a ring on a plate.

Step 1: Arrange the apples.

Open the bag and place the pre-sliced apples in a ring on your serving plate.

Drizzle melted almond butter over the apple slices

Step 2: Melt the almond butter.

Heat the almond butter in a microwave-safe dish for 30-45 seconds, until thin and drizzly. Use a spoon to scoop the almond butter. Hold the spoon perpendicular to the plate so the almond butter slides off, as you gently move your hand back and forth over the apple slices.

Sprinkle the apples with toppings.

Step 3: Sprinkle the toppings.

Use your hands to evenly sprinkle the chocolate chips, shredded coconut, slivered almonds, and ground cinnamon over the drizzle of almond butter.

Repeat steps 1-3 for an additional layer of nacho apples if youโ€™d like (we highly recommend it). And serve.

How to Make Creamy Yogurt Fruit Dip

Mix jello powder with Greek yogurt

This fruit dip is the perfect tangy, creamy sidekick to your green apple nachos. It whips up in less than five minutes and only uses two ingredients โ€” super easy and mom approved!

Mix the Greek yogurt and lime jello mix in a small dip bowl until combined and the yogurt becomes light green. If you still see white streaks, stir it a few more times until the yogurt is completely green.

Produce Mom Tip: To get the fruit dip as creamy as possible, whip it in a blender or food processor. Itโ€™s quicker, less work for you, and the texture is airy and light.
